About the Journal

Overview/Introduction:
The Indian Journal of Social Work Education & Practice is an academic, double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal which publishes theoretical and empirical research based articles in all the areas of social work education and related allied fields. The journal evaluates theoretical and empirical perspectives, debates and promotes trans disciplinary collaboration and invites rigorous research-based papers including review articles and book reviews from academicians, scholars, students, and professionals and practitioners.
The Indian Journal of Social Work Education & Practice is managed and owned by the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. The journal is published under platinum of open access arrangement, in that all charges for publishing the article is funded by Ronak Publishers, New Delhi. Hence, the journal does not charge any publication fee.
Aims and Scope
• The Journal of Social Work Education & Practice (IJWSEP) fundamentally seeks to encourage scholars working on the solution-oriented and futuristic perspectives by adhering to the fundamentals of social justice and promotion and protection of human rights, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) so that indigenous literature, models, theories can be developed in social work pedagogy.
• The Journal seeks to publish articles/papers which contribute new theoretical and empirical results from all the areas of Social Work. Policy prescriptions are essential and need to be supported by rigorous analysis and balanced appraisal covering global, national, regional as well as local insights and perspectives to strengthen the national & global policy significance.
• The Journal provides high-quality, double-blind peer reviewed, open access for not only original scholarly articles but also other types of research such as research notes, review articles and book reviews etc.
• Furthermore, solid commentaries from the readers could also be encouraged. Information about the forthcoming important events, conferences, seminars, symposia could also be useful addition and informative for the readers.
• With this scope, we aim to draw attention of the readers from international agencies, academics, researchers, policy professionals, policy makers and practitioners, local communities, and non-governmental organisations.
• The journal also aims to publish articles, case studies on the contemporary real life challenges including anti-caste movements and activities. The emancipatory social work practice shall always be one the prime areas for the publication.
• The journal specifically attracts attention over the role and intervention of social work for the sustainable development and inclusive growth.
